Yes, I offer in-person sessions in Westport, CT. I am licensed to see clients anywhere in Connecticut for both in-person and virtual therapy.
Yes, virtual sessions are offered to clients in Connecticut and PSYPACT participating states through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure privacy.
The initial 90-minute consultation allows us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. This helps me understand how best to support you. We’ll also discuss how therapy works and address any questions.
Sessions are typically 45 minutes long, though they may be adjusted based on your needs and circumstances. The initial intake session is 90 minutes to allow for a comprehensive assessment.
The duration of therapy varies depending on each person’s needs and goals. Some clients see progress in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Together, we can discuss a timeline that feels right for you.
The length of an assessment varies depending on the type and complexity. Most psychological assessments, including diagnostic and cognitive evaluations, typically take between 2 to 6 hours. This may be completed in a single session or spread across multiple appointments. Additionally, clients are provided with measures to complete at home and submit securely, which helps streamline the assessment process. After the assessment, additional time is required for scoring, interpretation, and report writing.
Finding the right therapist is a personal decision. During our first session, you’ll have a chance to see if my approach feels comfortable and aligned with your needs. If at any point you feel I may not be the best fit, I’m happy to discuss this with you and help find another professional who can provide support.
Simply reach out through the contact form on my website or phone to schedule an initial consultation. I’m here to answer any questions and help you take the first step toward your goals.
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients can receive partial reimbursement for therapy through their insurance’s out-of-network benefits. If you’d like to use your benefits, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company.
I recommend checking with your insurer to understand your out-of-network coverage, including reimbursement rates and deductibles. Let me know if you have any questions. I’m happy to guide you through the process!
Hearing the term "out-of-network" can feel intimidating, but it provides significant benefits. By working with an out-of-network provider, you prioritize high-quality, personalized care that isn’t restricted by insurance company rules.
When you choose private pay therapy, you and your therapist can shape treatment in a way that best supports your needs - without arbitrary limits on session length, frequency, or total number of sessions.
Additionally, paying privately ensures greater privacy and confidentiality, as no third parties dictate treatment decisions or require access to your health records. Investing in therapy this way allows for a more tailored and effective experience.
Yes! I recognize that financial circumstances vary, and strive to make quality mental health care accessible. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need.
If you’re interested in discussing sliding scale options, please reach out by phone or through the contact form. I'm happy to explore a fee structure that works for you.
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, as this time is reserved specifically for you.
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, cash, and HSA/FSA cards for those using health savings accounts.
Yes, I can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurer to understand your coverage and reimbursement rates.
